the ultimate meme wars

World laughter day is celebrated on the first sunday of May every year. It began as a movement in Mumbai, India by Dr.Madan Kataria, the founder of worldwide laughter yoga movement. As we go on with online classes, my friends and I found it very difficult to cope up with our studies and be away from each other for so long. Covid was still at peak and we decided to go with the movement and celebrate world laughter day to have a few laughs. We were able to raise awareness on benefits of laughter and its healing properties too.

As a group, we decided to host an event called "The ultimate meme wars" with permission from our coordinators. The competition was opened to all IB DP students and we even created a set of rules to maintain the standard and integrity of the competition. Participants were tasked to create 3 memes - 2 memes using a template of their choice and 1 meme created using a template given to them. This was done in order to test their versatality

Participants used their thinking skills and communicator skills and submitted a range of memes and the other judges and I had a lot of laughs grading all of them. As a member of the organizing committee and a judge, I displayed responsibility, open mindedness, and used a lot of thinking skills. I was also co-operative while working with my team to make this event a success. The winners were announced and awarded a certificate.
